Malcolm Rogers was born and raised in New Jersey where he shot his first gun at age three. Beginning in 1984, he served two years in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division as M-60 machine gunner and was honorably discharged. Rogers graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1990 with a degree in psychology. From 1990 to 2006, he worked at the largest retail sporting goods store in New Jersey and was promoted to law enforcement representative. He went on to serve as a sergeant in the Essex County New Jersey Sheriff’s Department for seven years, eventually moving to Virginia where he managed a gun shop. In 2013 Rogers began three years of training as an overseas contractor in Abu Dhabi. Once back in the United States, he worked for two years as a gunsmith at Sterling Arsenal, an 02/07 production shop manufacturing NFA items in Sterling, Virginia. In 2017, Rogers moved to Southern Pennsylvania with his wife and joined the DID team.
Sam was rescued from the Fayette County Friends of Animals where he was taken in as a stray. He is now everyone’s best buddy at DID.
No. We cannot release a firearm to anyone other than the person who dropped it off.
Depending on the model, we can usually make improvements. Each gun is different, and we will discuss what you want and what the gun is capable of.
Yes, we have the tools to properly install sight on most popular handguns and rifles.
Yes, we can adjust your sights on our 25-yard range. For longer distances we will get things as close as possible and as always, the owner is responsible for the final adjustments to suit his or her shooting style.
That depends on the work required and availability of parts. Please keep in mind that we take in a high volume of guns and quality work takes time.
If parts are available and the gun is not damaged beyond repair, we can usually restore it to working condition.
We work closely with our clients to ensure they receive the high-quality outcome they expect. We will NOT do any work that we feel compromises the safe function of a firearm, nor will we do anything that we feel is legally questionable.
