With approximately 1.5 million defensive gun uses every single year, it's impossible to keep track of every time one happens, but two gun defenses by women have made the news over the past two weeks.

Down in Texas, a man tried to steal a woman's SUV with her children in the back seat.  She managed to jump back into the vehicle, obtain her gun from the glovebox and shoot the car thief/kidnapper.

In another incident, a man attacked a cook in the kitchen of a Milwaukee restaurant.  The woman, who was seriously injured by a powerful punch, was instantly defended by a coworker who drew a pistol from her work apron and scared the attacker away.
